    Dear Ferraristi,

(Preliminary note: I'm in Europe, so the below may be specific to my geography).

My long awaited Roma is sitting pretty at the dealership. Why am I not driving it ? Well, all insurance companies that I've spoken to so far (admittedly, I've not yet searched for e.g. a more boutique / specialized insurance company) refuse to insure my car (against theft) unless it is equipped with a TT4/CJ2 - type anti-theft system. For those who are (like me) no subject matter specialists: Those are the most advanced systems, which include satellite tracking and remote immobilization.

The Roma comes equipped with a (lower level) "VV2" type system.

My dealer alleges that installing a non-factory anti-theft system may void certain elements of the car's warranty, but so far has not informed me how or what, exactly.

My questions for the forum / EU Roma owners:
    - Did anyone encounter similar challenges in getting their Roma insured and if so, how did you manage ?
    - Does anyone have good (or bad) experiences with (brands of) aftermarket anti-theft systems of the TT4/CJ2 variety ?

Thanks a million - I can't wait to get behind the (properly insured) wheel of my Roma ...
