Wonderful ! :)
MUCH, MUCH, BETTER! BENE TU TU BENE ! I have your exhaust on my 575, it wakes the car and the neighbors up! I love it! gtjoey1314
This was needed. Well done; I hope you sell thousands! I'd actually consider buying a Roma now that this "correction" has been offered to the public. When the car first came out I posted this: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ha! That's brutal - but funny! To the OP / A.C. - I won't unnecessarily repeat the other posts but MY GOSH - What an amazing improvement and the quality and attention to detail is evident even on here. As others have said when I attended the unveiling/viewing of the Roma at Ferrari of Denver I was sorely tempted to spec out a TdF/Crema Roma which would be my first brand new/spec/order Ferrari - The ONLY reason I did not pull the trigger was the front grill - to me it ruined and otherwise breathtakingly beautiful car. You have masterfully addressed the only "ugly" spot on an otherwise Supermodel-esque Ferrari - kudos and nice work!
Thank you all! for all the opinions we have exchanged here.. I am happy to hear that our efforts have paid off! I think that with this modification we will make some Roma owners happy. I wish you and your family a happy new year Antonio Capristo
Gorgeous and addresses the biggest issue. Question... Is the front bumper aluminum or are you showing us the mold made in aluminum?
to improve the fitting accuracy we built tools in aluminum.. the parts themselves are built in carbon
Do you have a website for folks looking to purchase this replacement grille from you? Where are you located?
We are located in Germany, but we also have Capristo dealers worldwide www.capristo.de [email protected]
I find the lines of the Roma more elegant.... I think the Roma is a beautiful car... Since it is a 4-seater, it also offers the possibility to drive together as a family with the children... it is a beautiful vehicle.
When you look at the cars back to back it shows what federal crash regulations can do which in return takes away design. Crash bumper heights and pedestrian safety impact show a HUGE difference in bumper, door tops and overall height and bulk needed to meet crash specs. I LIKE the Roma, I don't LOVE the Roma, the 550/575,is a modern day classic, ALOT easier on the eyes and the glass view is wonderful. The new DB11 along with the Roma and all the rest make you sink into a cave, the door caps are up to your eye balls the dash is 11 feet forward . The 575 in this picture looks soooooo small but in real life the proportions are wonderful. Put a new Mustang coupe next to my 2005 Ford Gt, The mustang looks like a monster truck! IMHO Its just a different time.........No one puts THEIR name on the new ones, But Callum , and all the rest did back then! gtjoey1314 Look at the FRONT wheel and tire on the Roma, combined its TALLER than the entire fender height on the 575. Different times ........I think the older is much more ROMANTIC.
I think it's nice that everyone looks at everything with different eyes..... I see more elegance and romance in the Roma.. I see more sportiness in the 575... with the Roma....Ferrari has attracted new customers ... such as.. Aston Martin drivers...AMG GT drivers..
I actually think that the 575 makes the Roma look better! Two very different cars, however both are unmistakably Ferrari. The more I drive the Roma, the more I become enamored with it. The 575 I could just just look at it all day!
Here is a summary from my experience with it; Up until a few days ago I had actually been hating it and below are some of the reasons why; 1. The steering rack is too quick and light which makes it fidgety on normal roads and vague to me when driving. 2. The Car Play is rubbish as it only plays on the main tach and therefore you lose all of the important stuff you want to watch when you are driving. 3. The gearbox hunts for 8th gear all the time in Auto! 4. The seats are uncomfortably hard. Then on Sunday I thought that I would give her a fast Canyon run in Malibu based on the advice of MHH. I honestly thought that he was losing his touch as I was seriously not gelling with this car. HOLY COW! In the canyons it is a completely different car! It is technical and very fast whilst still being a heap of fun. I never thought that I would say this.... It might even be more fun than a Turbo S! Where that came from, I have no idea! I mean if you wanted a daily and then a sports car for the weekends, plus a classy car for the evenings..... I am not sure that there is a better car made at the moment. And to some of the other points I disliked above; 1. At speed the steering actually weights up really nicely. 2. The car play is getting an upgrade, so this will sort that out by the end of the month. 3. I now keep the car in manual and therefore It can't hunt for 8th gear. 4. However, the Seats are still too firm and lack padding.
Both Californias I've owned (Cali 30 and Cali T) are just awful in Auto mode ... so no surprise there! On the Cali T you are in 7th gear before you are going 40 mph unless you bury your foot on the accelerator. I would just pull that button out by the roots I've driven the Roma back to back twice with my 2015 California T ... the Roma is noticeably faster (no surprise) and sounds much better than I thought it would. My Cali T has the HS Speciale mufflers so it sounds very good, too, much deeper exhaust note than stock. The Roma is higher pitched but very good. Would seriously consider a Roma spider but the price delta between the cars is quite large and all the new technology with the touch pads and busy dashboard/steering wheel makes me think my Cali T is a keeper for now.
It’s actually funny, it reminds me of the 488GTB. The Pista was obviously faster and more dialed in. I am not sure that you would rate the turbo charged engine given you didn’t like it when you drive my Pista back to back with the Speciale. May the Horse be with you
