The braves who can drag themselves out of bed early enough are welcome to join a bunch of Welsches at the Hotel/Restaurant des Horlogers in Le Brassus (52km from Lausanne-Ouchy, 61km from Geneva Mt-Blanc), right beside the Audemars Piguet HQs, on Saturday 05/21 at 9am.

Maybe, who knows, Le Brassus will eventually become the Crystal Cove of the area.
Nothing is organized. All I know is that the restaurant is open, has a terrace if the weather is ferociously warm (Vallée-de-Joux is not a tropical climate), and the car park is empty on Saturday mornings.

    Drive safely.

PS yes, smartphones camera quality is still crappy.

What's the plan for the rest of the day? For us it's a bit of a nightmare to get there (wake up at 5:30, drive 3 hours... :( ) but if the program involved driving 3 mountain passes in the company of F40s, GTOs, F50s, Enzos and all the rest... well we could think about it!! :)

    Ciao Andrea,
You will be more than welcome to join ! I know that Christophe was keen on going for a longer drive afterwards, I don't know what the others will feel like doing.
Plan for the rest of the day is open at this point. More intended to be a get-together-for-a-coffee than an organised drive. If the idea gains momentum, this could be a monthly informal get together.

Can certainly not commit to a prestigious panel of cars, just "ordinary" TRs, 355s, 360s and 550s, as well as a couple of friends with M3s. However, Diablos are mushrooming in the region, I see more and more 430s around Lausanne, and Schumi lives nearby so ... you never know :)

The only thing I can promise is that you won't be disappointed by the roads and the scenery (and the relative absence of traffic compared to the Alps).

Huh, a bit thin to call it "a plan", just the bare minimum so that we have a reasonable chance to end up at the same place at around the same time.

Because Yfc & I both are early birds ?
Because there is less traffic at these hours ?
Because it allows those to be back home well before noon if you need to ?
Because it's not THAT early after all ?

Meteoschwytz is optimistic thus far, can't be a lot worse than today anyhow :)

Great informal meeting this saturday morning at "Le Brassus", Switzerland

    - car park : 550, 360sp, M3, Elise, RS6, 355
    - JC almost had an accident while bypassing an Audi and a bus..suddenly the Audi thought he had a racing car also..big mistake..no harm was done
    - blocked 3x on the mountain roads by a lot of cows going up the hill. You know how these beasts are : big, with bells and horns...all you need to have your car scatched..no harm was done
    - that RS6 is damn fast..really fast..what do you want with 450hp ?
    - the Tubi of the 550 makes a nice noise and it is a hell of a car ;-)
    - nice coffee/croissant/hot chocolate chat at the hotel/restaurant (8,5 pers.)
    - some left for home, the others did a nice trip towards Yverdon by the small swiss roads respecting speed in the villages
    - the rain promised in the afternoon, well, we've got already in the morning so we had to be careful in the turns
    - at noon, nice lunch at an "Auberge" somewhere in a lost village somewhere around Yverdon.

I don't know about Schengen, but I certainly say YES to these Saturday morning meetings at Le Brassus.

next meeting for Romandie : 04 June...Ferrari for Children...

    Didier.

How's Ellena? You still not sold the spider?
Sounds like you had a fun day.

    Cheers

This informal and very relaxed trip was pretty good. Far better than the crappy weather !! Crossing the cows going to the montains was a bit ... difficult on the narrow roads. By the way Shark, we went through "Romain-Motier". A very nice village by the way.

Anyway, it was a good opportunity to meet each other and have fun.

We for shure have to do more this kind of week-end "break-fast" event between two F-Car riding sessions ! :D

I hope to see you soon nearby.

    Christophe.
