Has anybody delt with these guys? They always seem to be the kind of guys who overprice their stock yet seem to sell! For example, I notice they have a black Enzo, and if I am not mistaken, that car was at Joe Macari 3 weeks ago for 50K less. How do these guys do it?
I never dealt or even been there but i know they are high end so they must play on their reputation and have a clientele for who money really is not object.
Hi Mike, I have never had any direct dealings with Romans. All i can tell you is that they have been going for a number of years now and i cant remember hearing any 'bad news'
they capitalise on having what others dont have plus do a lot of export. some of the regular stuff trades at typical prices
Their delaership is not for from my parents house so I drive past it pretty regularly and have popped in to look once or twice. Always amazed at the amount of stock they hold. Their backers/ owners must have provided a lot of working capital or an awful lot of the cars are on sale or return.
There is a family connection. Romans is owned/run by Joe Macari's cousin or something like that (I forget the relationship exactly). Jonathan
... and I believe you are still banned from there? Ben Jaconelli runs the place, I believe his Father financed it? Lots of football customers I've heard, hence the high prices. They have supported The Children's Trust, Tadworth... so they're good guys in my book.
Funnily enough he accosted me at the Mulberry meet last Sunday and then asked me to send him some info on Enzos (which I did). Anyway, I wasn't banned. They just objected to me taking pics one time so I stopped going there. Jonathan
