Roof Boxer Helmet - Two Thumbs Up!

Well since I have been riding a lot I decided to get a new helmet. I always like the functionality of the new flip up type helmets but after trying one on I didnt care for the shear mass of the Shoei that was available locally so I ordered one that reviewed well. Had to get it from France ended up using designerhelmets.com and I am pleased as can be with the new lid. Only thing is that they sent me the wrong one...doh. I wanted the model that had a little more silver in the design but when I opened up the box it was the one I had for a close second choice so I am going to roll with it. Fast shipping, I can recommend (just make sure they confirm what you will be getting exactly)

I havent seen the credit card bill yet so I am not sure of the total and if there is a type of fee for euro conversion I am sure it will be near where the link is that you posted. 299 Euros is $380 USD so we are in the ball park. I doubt you can get one much cheaper. I have worn Bell, AGV, Arai, Shoei and this is so far ahead of them in the "neato" factor I am really stoked on it. It fits snugly out of the box. In Shoei a md/large 59/60 is slightly on the loose side but this is a large 60 and is right on the money!

I am only a street rider so it may not work for the track. I am sure the latest non-flip ups from the above are quieter and stronger. Also I am not sure it has the proper US safety agency certs that may be required on the track. It has the European standards clealy marked inside.

It looks like a smaller helmet from the outside for a (60cm) so that could be telling right there but then you notice it in the comfort at speed category. It's really nice in flip up mode because the chin piece goes all the way to the rear and out of the breeze, and the fighter pilot mode with shield down is pretty nice too but I was getting small debris near my eyes so; good for cruising or rain but glasses are required if in traffic/wind. Glasses fit easily around the foam to the ears so that is a nice plus too! I am giving it a 10 out of 10 for me!

Its ECE 22.05 compliant (European Standard) so yes "NON DOT"
