My shelf has two holes in it. One is much larger than the other. I have no idea what the larger one is for, but the smaller one seems like it's the correct one to put the male end of a Tenax fastener. The only problem is I have no idea how it's supposed to thread in there. Doesn't seem to be any threads? Anyone know how to replace these things? Image Unavailable, Please Login
There should only be one hole on each side. The make tenax is a screw that screws into the shelf (no thread or nut) - like a wood screw
The screw that came with my cover is blunted as if it should thread into something. Is this not the case? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just installed a new cover. This Tenax screw was out but luckily it was in the console compartment. Mine looked like this (above). The snaps are pretty neat Tenax pull top snaps.
In my case it was a lower screw. I did tap a new hole as I couldn't locate the old one. In your case it should screw right into your top shelf in one of the existing holes.
Mine were like this when I got the car and when I replaced them last year, I replaced them with same style. https://sierramadrecollection.com/products/tenax-fastener-stud-chrome-356b-356c-60-65-p19547 Image Unavailable, Please Login
