When I begin the process of putting my top down, the side windows automatically go down as well, however, once the roof movement is complete and fully down, the window's come back up. No big deal, I just put the windows down again, but is there a way to knock out this extra step and have the windows remain down once the top is in the down position?

    Thanks in advance.

Nope, windows up means the cycle is complete. Don't ask why. I stopped asking why a long time ago.

It's pretty drafty with the windows down, but surprisingly calm with them up, even without the windblocker screen over the back seating area. I would guess Ferrari as a consequence figured most people would run around with the windows up with the top down so to please the majority (at the expense of annoying the rest by making them take the extra step of lowering the windows again) they made that choice.

Cycle should finish when top is stowed indeed, with the option of raising windows if one keeps the switch depressed, like on most other convertibles. Stupid, but it is what it is. No way to change it. Just remember no car is perfect, and that's one of the many 'idiosyncrasies' this car has.

On my 2011 boxster S...when you put the top down the windows go down to the 3/4 position. when the top is all the way down the windows go up. I guess this is to tell you that indeed the top is all the way down.

But if you lower the windows while the top is going down the windows stay down. Will this work on the Cali?

I actually like to have the windows up when the top is stowed, so ferrari obviously can't please everyone. easy trick I learned on this forum is to do a quick press and hold of the Roof open/close switch - depending on whether you want windows up or down. this will open both sides' windows at the same time. only takes a few extra seconds and is no big deal.
