Roof Latch for Mondial T

I recently had the pleasure of getting a '91 red Mondial T, but have had multiple problems which still haven't been repaired (will continue to work on them). I found the left roof latch broke and was very upset because it precluded putting the top up. I don't put it up often, but I was scared to drive it if there was a hint of rain.

This site has been absolutely amazing in helping me understand my car and start addressing issues. I came across a gentlemen who manufactured a replacement piece for the latch which is stronger and was easy to replace. I heard the price of replacing the latch could be in the $400 range, but this option was much better.

I just thought I would post my positive experience with this latch, as well as the guy who developed/manufactured it. He was very helpful, sent the item right away, and was very responsive with questions and the like. In fact, as I was replacing the part, I noticed another piece of the assembly was broken. I took pictures (below), which he is looking into how to fix. Anyone needing to fix a latch should not hesitate to get his replacement part. He goes by ronfrohock and below is his member information.
