    I'm getting a failure message on F8 spider that says "Roof Operations not recommended. External temp not detectable". The roof won't open. Its only 2 months old, hardly used roof. Calling the dealer this week but curious if anyone else had this?

    there is a recent thread on here about all the vehicle systems that take the external temp sensor reading as an input..and its a long list, but I would not have thought the roof of a spider was one of them. Keep us posted..

    A friends 22 had a similar problem. Turns out the passenger seat was too far back; crazy but true.
