Valentino Rossi finally tested the Yamaha M1 MotoGP bike yesterday. After two months off and on a new bike that was less than competitive last year, he was only about 1 second off the fastest time Max Biaggi (fastest Honda). Any MotoGP fans out there want to make a prediction for WC in '04?

The Hondas and Ducatis may be faster initially, but by mid-season Rossi will challenge for the win at every track. (Not sure, but I beleive he has won at every track sometime in the last three years). Should be a fun year.

    '04 final standings prediction
    1. Rossi
    2. Biaggi
    3. Barros
    4. Gibernau
    5. Capirossi

The great American hopes of Edwards and Hayden will struggle to even be in the top half of the 6 factory Hondas, IMO.

I think it's going to be a interesting year for sure. I like biaggi but he makes to many mistakes. If rossi can do it on a bike not as good as what he had last year that would be quite impressive.Hopefully it'll be a good battle for the championship and not a walk in the park.

I do believe that,at the moment, it is still impossible to give a proper prediction. By the way...

    Rossi
    Gibernau
    Barros
    Edwards
    Capirossi

Just for the statistics, Rossi time was just 3 tenth of a second slower than Biaggi's first day best lap time. I think that, should the Yamaha egineers be able to give him some more power, Vale will win it again. I do not know if he is the best driver ever, but for sure he is the best of this last decade.

I believe it's going to be Rossi. You put on any make bike he'll make it competitive.
