    Excellent post nerofer. But shouldn't we say that "Rosso Corsa" has been getting lighter for many decades for all the Italian marques? The "Rosso Corsa" of the 1940s and into the 1950s would be best described as "Oxblood" today.

    Yes, true of course; but it also depended on the different teams preferences. Even during the seventies, "Autodelta" which engaged the works Alfa-romeo 33TT12s in endurance racing used a notably darker red than Ferrari.
