The RC car got the black sport sill which works better than the body color sill on the RS example. It also seems the Rosso Scuderia car got stuck with Rosso Corsa calipers to. As a color the RS certainly has more pop to it but that may be too much for some buyers. When you buy used compromises are necessary.
Two for two on ordering the thin spoke sport wheels though...

Thanks for the comment - currently trying to confirm my order which is RS with the sport sill and rosso calipers (and shields). Just doing the usual gutcheck during the wait. I spec'ed nero interior with red stitching as well.

RS is very 2004. RC is timeless. I will not order another new car in RS

The Nero interior is a favourite; keeps it simple but gives a nice edge with the contrast stitching which come in two different thread sizes. I like the contrast you get with the black sport sills better than solid body color. Any options like the carbon LEDS steering wheel and sport racing seats or the optional sport wheels that you are looking at? The front lift option is a useful feature for the city driving. Ferrari has many options to tempt a buyer!

Is there a story behind why the RS was launched recently? Or was it "always" available (maybe as a special color)?

I think that the RS maybe looks a bit better, but I would still take the RC just to be as classic as possible.

I personally like the combo of shields, yellow calipers, and a yellow rev counter (esp. in a black car this is fantastic). If anybody takes red calipers he should also take a red rev counter so everything would match as much as possible, IMHO.

Additional options I got as follows:

    Red tach
    Red calipers
    Scuderia shields
    Sport sills
    DAAL leather/alcantara interior (all black)
Racing seats with red stripe down the middle and red stitched cavallino in headrest
    Carbon steering wheel with LED
    Sport wheels painted dark grey
    Nav

these things definitely added up! i did not get the lift as I am keeping the car at a house in the countryside and there should be minimal need for the lift there

LEDs are a must-have option if you ask me, but isn't the Carbon Fiber Driving Zone CIDL a better purchase, for less than +$2,5K you also get carbon paddles etc.

I like carbon paddles very much especially because you actually use/touch them, it's not just a piece of carbon somewhere only for show.

Great choices there but as mentioned the carbon paddles give the car a nice feel to it. I think the steering wheel and racing seat options are especially worthwhile; they are your connection with the car!

Does CIDL include the carbon steering wheel? What else do you get? That might be a decent value if it has a lot f other carbon bits but I wouldn't pay 2.5k for just carbon paddles. I imagine the stock paddles are aluminum? That probably feels just as good as carbon which probably just feels like plastic when you aren't looking at it ...

I have understood that CIDL includes the carbon streering wheel w/ LEDs, carbon paddles, and some carbon in the instument binnacle. So basically it is the paddles what you would get as extra...

I also think that the carbon paddles would very nicely suit the style of your car because it's specced up as a very sporty one (seats, Alcantara etc).

I have to admit that you are quite right about the plasic-feel :)

ONLY RS unless you are 70+ but the side body sills look better in black

Cool - I spec'ed the black sills with my RS. And the dark grey painted sport wheels too .. Should look epic.

Both look great, but for me it is Rosso Corsa. It just seems timeless, but ultimately it is your car and you should have it the way you want. Not sure on black or painted sills.

    Congrats and best wishes.

    Cheers,

RS was created to make photos of the F1 cars look better - which it does. However, on the street and in real daylight, I think RC is the better color. All very subjective though - there is no wrong answer!

Interesting. Makes sense that RS would look better to you. Can you see the colour of traffic lights or do you have to remember which one is on top?
