Purchased 246 GTS sight unseen no PPI. Arrived good and onto a few days of fun / issues on the way to being sorted out. Went to a show today and decided to open it up a bit. Struggled to run above 3000 rpm's backfire or two. Will take it in to the F dealer this week - appreciate any insight. Dino mid engine Ferrari I can't get over its comfort - 6'2 210 that's a nice surprise even in today's exotics. Head shoulder pedals sight lines storage - all excellent. 246 GTS best kept secret and I've owned Ferrari's for decades - a bit tired of ordering each model to get something special. Perhaps the special cars have already been built add the six cylinder has a rich history and feels strong - looking forward to feel and hear it's full potential. It's a light rear engine with lots to enjoy. Shifting thru the gears and hearing the sounds is pure bliss. Only thing I need is a radio - any insight appreciated. https://www.fantasyjunction.com/inventory/1972-ferrari-246-gts-dino-3/overview Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, ear buds with noise cancelling only no music is what i do for long drive. Wind noise fatigue so very reduced. For the car please check all red spark plug wire end connections are firm, Especially the trunk to bobina, each distributor at cap and all spark plugs. If there are packages in the trunk this may hit the bobina wire My guess is electrical not fuel and these spark plug can easily be accidently pushed or shaked off, so simple solution to try is a refit.
Congratulations on your Dino!!. My father owned #07922, along with a Boxer & Countach Anniversary..The Dino was by far the most fun & easiest to drive. He sold all 3 and some years later the Dino was lost to an engine fire..Please make sure your fuel lines are in good condition & tight. We replaced the throttle cable & fuel line during our ownership, but unfortunately, it was destroyed..Once you get the engine sorted, you'll love the sound of it at the redline..ENJOY!
https://www.retromanufacturing.com/ is what I intended to use for the Testarossa to get Bluetooth with a classic look. They have a bunch of 50s and 60s look faces. https://www.retromanufacturing.com/collections/retrosound-europa-radio/products/1967-79-ferrari-dino-europa-radio Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is the way. When I redid my car, I deleted the radio from the interior as well as the antenna. Noise cancelling earbuds make long drives much more enjoyable.
I am putting one of these in my Fiat Dino. It came with an original Becker Europa so this look is very periodic. This company is in Henderson NV. You can buy a transparent label that covers the LED screen to make it look more vintage when the radio is off. Also ironically I've picked Rosso Rubino micalizzato as the color. Great minds think alike!
A lot of mid 60's Euro cars came with the Becker Europa. I've seen many in Mercedes. I think dealers put them in.
Congrats. Tha paint is dull in the shade but in decent light too bright - it's stunning. Going to give the ear buds a shot - have a new pair never opened them.
