What do you guys think if this one? I believe it was mentioned before in a previous thread but I cannot find it. Ebay Item #110370132613. I believe the tailights should be reversed. Does anyone know of any service records for this car, he does not mention much about the subject. What is a fair price in your opinion. Thanks.

Correct....he said it had been resprayed in 2004 so probably why the lights are reversed in the back. I think I have seen pictures before on F-chat.

For sub $30k, could be a pretty good deal. If all is as it seems, I would think the price is fair as is once confirmed.

Does anyone remember the thrread this car was discussed on before? What about maintenance to this point on the car? Is 25k about right in todays market? If not should it be more or less? Thanks.

I think the seller is incorrect. If I am not mistaken, the boxer was the last true hand built Ferrari. The 308 was not a true hand built car.

This is a bit off topic.

What is the definition of a "true handbuilt Ferrari", and what would separate Boxers from 308s from an assembly/build perspective?

Boxers and 308s were on the same assembly line in pics I have seen before. 308 is still handbuilt in my opinion.

My understanding is that robots arrived on the assembly line with the unit-body 348, which had more "machine friendly" panels. I believe 308 steel body panels were stamped on a press and hand-fitted, while Boxer panels had more hand shaping involved, but it probably is correct to say that Ferrari had one of the least automated assembly lines among established car makers up through the 1980s.

There are threads on FChat with contemporary factory pics -- worth searching for. I pulled this one from elsewhere on FChat -- not sure whose it is. Boxer is right behind a 308.

That's all I mean. You can see the hammer marks on the backside of the boxer's body panels. The 308 body panels were stamped.

    BTW, cool picture.
