RS pops alot more. I'm just not a fan of RC
Great photo Blackbolt. Both colors are great. I love them both. Just like red wine sometimes I like Cabernet and sometimes I like Meritage.
I really like RS on the Scuderia and the CS. They look great. I don't remember seeing an RS 430 or 360. I have seen a RS 458 - I liked it but not as much as the RS Scud/CS. I agree that lighting plays a big part when viewing RS. Sometimes it looks really great with a fantastic glow, other times it looks a little washed out and a bit too orange. I'm sure keeping the paint clean/waxed plays a good part, too.
Here's a nice example where RS looks much better than RC IMO. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137524118&postcount=22
In my opinion, if you live in Northern Europe / Northern US States / UK / (anywhere with less sunshine throughout the year) you should go for Rosso Scuderia , since it is a "happier" color for cloudy weather... For South Europe / Southern US States / (anywhere with more sunshine throughout the year) you should go for Rosso Corsa , since Rosso Scuderia seems very orange with strong sunshine and over time Rosso Corsa becomes more like Rosso Scuderia (I think car color changes over time due to strong UV exposure)... I went with Rosso Corsa (live in Southern Europe) but I am also very biased, since I like traditional Ferrari colors... Both are great colors... You can't go wrong either way !
can't go wrong either way.. scuderia has that beautiful unique shine.. RC brings so much history in it.
this is all very personal, if you have chosen to have neutral or calm Colors in your house get RC, if you love colours get RS
The picture has a very noticeable color cast therefore the car looks very orange. I have seen a couple of RS 360s and 430 in person. They dont look as orangie as shown in your pic.
Rosso Scuderia has also changed in shade over the years, even though the PPG name remains the same, but the PPG # is different.
RS just explodes in cloudy and over cast lighting. It photograghs oddly in certain conditions and can look very orange, washed out or even pink. In person it is more sporty and aggressive. I agree that scuds and CS look best in RS....but I am biased! Both are spectacular and look fantastic on any F car.
+1 In bright sunlight both colors look the same. The difference is at dusk, at night partially lit by a street light, or in a parkade. Rosso Scuderia in those situations still looks like it is outside in the noon sun. It is electric in low light! I love it! I have to admit the rosso scuderia on the 458's seems to be less orange but I haven't tried to make a direct comparison. The rosso scuderia on the 360CS and 430 is almost identical to the red used on Chinese New Year red money envelopes. The orange red of that paper is almost an exact color match for rosso scuderia. You can find them in any general store in your local Chinatown.
agreed although its just an iphone6 picture. here is one taken with a professional camera Image Unavailable, Please Login
Newbie here and didn't know anything about RS. So is this car RC or RS? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like RS to me. RS and RC look very similar unless they are next to each other in which case the difference is very obvious. I see RC far more common, so do you want your car to look like just another red Ferrari or do you want it to stand out more? Personally, I like red but want something a little different from the crowd.
Look at the side by side photos earlier in the thread. RS is definitely brighter but a bit of orange to it.
