When I was there, most lighter traffic was landing on the shorter east-west runway (9-27) while the jets and larger aircraft were using the longer north-south runway (18-36). Roush was attempting to land on 18, so I'm still not sure why he got so out of shape.

I heard it did cartwheel. With all the pics taken of it I don't think there have been any videos.

there is a great eyewitness description I posted somewhere in one of the threads. basically I think he was trying to keep the plane slow with all the traffic and that's hard in a Premier. Some S-turns and way too slow = stall a few hundred feet up and then straight in. Description said it wasn't a hard landing, was a full on crash and unbelievable they survived.

Standard operating procedure; I've seen photos of airliners involved in accidents and the first thing that gets done is to have the airline's name and logo whitewashed out!

(IS THE VISION GOING TO RETURN)

"Not in the left eye. The left eye is gone.''

(WILL THAT KEEP YOU FROM FLYING)

"That by itself won't keep me from flying. I've got to decide what I want to do and how I want to do it. Very likely, it will not dissuade me from flying. My passenger actually saw the airplane I was conflicted with on landing approach before I did. I was pilot in command, so I don't know if would have been different if I would have had somebody else in the airplane.''

(DID THE GLASSES BREAK AND GET YOUR EYE)

"It was probably the airplane moved to the right once it was on the ground and it was probably the side of the airplane that got it. I was wearing glasses and the glasses lenses is gone out of (the left side). I've got some plates and screws in my cheek.''

(WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE PLANE CRASH)

"There was a traffic conflict close to the ground as I was making a landing.''

    From an interview at MIS

"I filed my NTSB report today, which is a matter of public record. It speaks for itself. The reality of it, on a trip arrival into Oshkosh, Wis., I was put in conflict with the flight plan of another airplane close to the ground, and I was unable to address the conflict and keep the airplane flying. I ground-looped the airplane. The airplane did a great job staying intact."

Ground loop? That's a heckuva ground loop!
He sounds like a politician with his "unable to address the conflict" statement.

As N6JR was already released by the NTSB, just wondering what its worth chopped into little pieces and sold to Nascar fans???

Maybe attach a piece to a die cast Roush car? :)

Passenger is Brenda Stricklin, age 61, Jack's personal assistant and has been employed by Roush for years. She is also considered to be one of his most loyal friends.
