    Hello. I have been on the AZ DOT website and google trying to get more info on when this section of 64 might open. Do any of you have any insight? Also, I would be very pleased to learn what this section of road is like. Twisty? Elevation drama? Tons of RVs with no way to pass? Working on a 10 day road trip planned for this May. Thanks for your consideration, Keith

    I drove this road three years ago.
    It’s beautiful when there are not a lot of cars. Early morning are best

    Tons of RVs and not very fun for an F car.

    Check any roads that lead through the reservation before hand for closures.

    Thanks. We'll be in a rental sedan of some sort. On an extended road tour of AZ, UT, Route 66 and into LAS

    It is a great route mid-week, starts out with grassy landscape and then the views get dramatic

    Here we are just after the Cameron turnoff headed West
