I currently have a neat magnetic phone holder stuck to my windscreen, tucked down between the A pillar and the dashboard.

I want to add a MagSafe charger puck thing so I can charge the phone at the same time as it's sitting on the mount. I've tested this already and it works really well.

What I don't like however is having the cables dangling everywhere (ironic given the CS has all sorts of cables hanging free under the dash!).

I was thinking of trying to route the cable down through the defrost vent that sits right behind where I have my mount. Then I can run it along the underside of the dash to the 12V cigarette lighter.

Before I start ripping the dash apart has anyone done anything similar? Or does anyone have any better ideas?

on other cars (haven't attempted it in the Ferrari), I have used a plastic credit card to push the MagSafe cable between two panels and run it somewhere out of sight -- much easier than pulling the interior to route it perfectly. Since I've had problems with those MagSafes before and had to replace them, it was nice just being able to pull the cable out in a few seconds and push a new one in its spot.
