I am thinking of using this on my next oil change ( rumor has it it has ZDDP in excess of 2000 ppm ) and given the drop in Zinc and Phosphate in more recent oils for API standards for decreased emmissions. Has anyone run this yet in their engine? I have been very hppy with the "Regular" Royal Purple 5W-40 and been very happy with it.
    Thanks!

Claudio- Any good 0W-40 or 5W-40 synthetic oil will work well enough the engine will never have any lubrication related problems for well over 100,000 miles if changed annually. I use 5W-40 Valvoline in mine. Either of those RP oils should work fine. The factory recommends either 0W-40 or 5W-40 synthetic oil.

I would suggest to stay with the 5w40 RP. I use in all the track cars and I use the RP max gear 75w90 in all the gearboxes.

Have had no oil related issues and the gearbox oil works wonders.

    Regards, Jim

Thank you! I actually change oil and filters every 3 k miles.... The whole flat tappet / need for zinc issue seen innsimilar cars to ours was making me wonder... In that case I'll stick with the RP 5W40.
