I'm looking at a half built KR-2 tomorrow.....with engine I can bring it home for $800.00 bucks. Any words to the wise???? Geffen
My Dad and I built one when i was in high school. cool machine. I would get someone who has experience to look at it before you commit to it. There are plenty of KR-2 support groups who can look at it for you. That price is pretty cheap. I assume the motor is a Revmaster? What is included? pics? Cheers
I can tell you they're not a real 2 person airplane. Not unless the passenger is a kid or a really light weight adult.
The FAA now requires much more documentation on how much of the airplane was built by whom. It may be a good deal, but you may not can meet the 51% rule for the repairman certificate if that is important to you, although it won't prevent you from getting an A/C (usually).
