Reminds me of the adage about polishing turds. Only a minute slower than a Viper, Vette or GTR. Ho hum.

Personally, I think it's damn impressive. The RRSS's have fabulous off-road capabilities, are super luxurious, can comfortably carry 5 (or more); and have tremendous utility. To be able to put down a 'ring time as they did is quite an engineering achievement. My biggest question is how many chnages were made to the tested vehicle versus what is sold to the public.

Ive been planing on a rr sport anyway and this new record is funny to me since i also have gtr. Having fastest ring times for car and now truck is cool to me even if rather meaningless

I own the RRS and while I love it, I believe a turbo porsche cayenne would crush its time on the ring.

The range rover sport is an awesome suv but feel nothing like a sports car. The only suv I've drive that is even remotely close is a cayenne.

The turbo is 19/10ths the price
    Almost double the scrr

    Porsche engineering is certainly better
    Maybe but not by much
However , it was ugly when it was introed
    And aint much better now
The RRS sc is best looking suv ever made
And probably the 2nd safest car on the road
The first being its big brother!
