Today I was doing a little cleaning on my 77 when the door handle rubber bumper fell off. It looks like dry rot so I'll now need to search for a replacement. Has anyone had this happen and if so where or what did you use to replace it. If you pull up on the black flag type door handel and look under near the top you will see this little rubber button. It is just a soft stop for the lever. Anyone have any suggestions. I assume it to be a NLA item. Thanks

I have noticed that on my 77, particularly the drivers door, has a little, what apears to be clear coat failing, because the bumper failed or fell off. Anyway, the paint soon suffers when the handle hits the paint.

Im sure we can find a suitable bumper - i hope?

OK got it fixed. Went to the local hardware store and found rubber bumpers for door stops. They are 3/8" OD by about 5/16" thick. They have a hole in the middle that is counterbored and will take a #6-32 screw 3/8" long. I used a stop nut and it fit perfect.
