This winter is "replace the rubber hoses" project.
I've seen in the archives about a Sears hose cutter that shears rubber hose cleanly. I've not been able to find it from sears anywhere nor find a part #, so I found this alternative:

    Lisle Hose cutter 11420

This is sold under different names like Blue Point, Snap-on, etc. You can find it on-line from $13 to $30.

Anybody have a compendium of original ID/OD metric hose sizes & lengths for an '83 308? I've only found American replacement sizes or bits & pieces.
    thanks.

The Sears model is a Craftsman Accu-Cut rubber shear.

Greatest thing since sliced bread (or as least the bread slicer) for cutting rubber.

I used Goodyear standard sizes on my car, but since it's been posted the German auto parts departments are the place to go, for metric.....

There is a post somewhere in tech on all the sizes.....

I just replaced about 6' worth of 5/16" fuel line in the engine compartment of my GT4. I just used scissors - should I be concerned, or are these cutters designed more for the big, 1"+ hoses associated with the coolant system, etc.?

I use tin snips for all my hoses. Never had a problem. My largest diameter hose is a 6" long and 3" in diameter. I had to trim about an inch off and the only tricky part was making the cut even all the way around. I started at the end and cut in towards the center until I reached the line I drew on it and then cut around. Now, getting that sucker ON was the hard part. I ended up boiling the end to get it to slip on. Worked like a charm!

    Clyde,
this is on my list as well...I am curious as to what we should use that would look as close to OEM as possible, over the counter stock is fine for me I don't need OEM Ferrari hosing ( ok bad pun) but don't want is to stand out with GATES printed all over it. the green line is probably ok I guess and damn good hoses as well. a long while back in tech some guy wrote up all the sizes I think I printed it out..will look..he used gates green line.
