I have a problem with the seals around my head light covers on my 575, it's a terminal problem the rubber has simply cracked due to environmental exposure and will be replaced at the next service. But a man in the know tells me that he has seen exposed seal cracking problems on a lot of Ferraris - window seals, 1/4 light seals etc. Anyone ever found a product that extends the life of a seal or better still prevents cracking altoghter.

What do you guys treat your seals with?

I use this stuff called Wurth rubber care.
have used it on Porsche for years, never any side effects.
have only used it on Ferrari for couple years... hasn't
    screwed anything up yet.

I use 303 on my boat and it works well in heavy UV exposure situations. I have no problem with the rubber on my 575 though so it's a mystery to me why yours would be wearing out so quickly. Once the rubber is cracked I doubt there is much that can be done to bring it back.

I have used both Wurth and 303. In my subjective analysis, I think the rubber parts feel more supple after using Wurth rather than 303 so I recommend Wurth.

That said, 303 may do a better job of protecting from UV than Wurth but I just didn't like the way the rubber felt after using it.

All you need to keep your rubber seals (and tires) healthy and looking great for years is DRY-TYPE silicone. 3M makes it in aerosol form (red can). It doesn't give a shiny look nor is it greasy. Just keeps everything conditioned well and looking new.
