I just used Zymol on the weekend - pretty good/quite expensive.

Amen on the gummipledge...works great, and available at all BMW dealers.

So your seals are squeaking a bit? Just apply the gummipledge around the flippers, and it'll smooth everything right down.

Actually discountinued by BMW, they are now recommending Carbaflo (expensive!). I will be ordering a couple tubes of Gummifledge from Pelican right now!!! Well, I see they no longer have the BMW labeled one, but do have it under this brand (probably the oem supplier)
http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/shopcart/CARE/POR_CARE_einszt_pg10.htm Bigger container, and cheaper too!

BTW, the active ingredient in these products is Glycerin, which you can buy in most drugs stores...only problem is that it is usually in a liquid form (rather than jelly) so difficult to apply, and doesn't last long. Cheap though...a small bottle is $3 or less!

Thanks for the tip. I've always used 303 Protectent on the seals and have been very happy with the results, but I just ordered the Gummifledge stuff to try out. I remember old Porsche owners manual recommending glycerin on the seals, but I never tried it, so I'm curious to see how this product works.

From the looks of the Gummifpledge on Pelican, it appears to the a liquid form with a applicator tip, not unlike a liquid shoe polish bottle....I would prefer the BMW type gel.....

I tried the Gummifpledge this morning. I don't know how it compares to the BMW gel, but I am very impressed with it in comparison to 303. Seems like this is the right type of treatment to keep the seals in great shape. It's very easy to apply and the bottle should last a long time -- I did two cars this morning and it didn't really feel any difference in the weight of the bottle. Thanks again for the tip.
