Hello, Since I own my 3.2 1988 Mondial, it makes a rubbing noise when cold, at the timing belt notched wheel level. I eventualy put appropriate grease in this area (upper engine only) which has improved significantly the thing. Is such rubbing noise "normal" when those 3.2 V8 are running ? (I am used to the V12 carb with 6 webers). The fact is that the more I listen to it the more I thing this rattle noise is present all the time. I've been driving 1000 miles since I own it, and the timing belt was changed one year ago. Is the stainless steel exhaust is amplifying it ? Thanks for your comments.
