Did a search and found a few threads but I wanted to solicit some more feedback. I am looking at a 360 at Ruf and they are doing a major service on it. Anyone have recent experience with them in buying a car and what are your opinions on their service ability with Ferraris? Here is the 360:

I am having Ruf check into a Ferrari this week that is being sold by another Dallas based seller. The new Ferrari mechanic's name is Mike Luongo and apparently he has a very good reputation. So, as of now, I dont have experience with Ruf but will have by the end of the week.

I think you will find that aside from the Sponsor relationship that Ruf has on this board that the positive feedback about this place are just top notch. In particular look in the Texas section and you will see that they are very well regarded. They now have one of the top Fcar wrenches in the country there.

Mike is one of the best F-car wrenches in the country (as is James at Norwods - we are very lucky in Dallas).

RUF is also highly regarded, be it sales or service. If you buy a car from them you can be sure that is has been sorted and all known problems fixed. They won't sell a car with issues, even a car that is with them on consignment will have been inspected by Mike.

They performed a PPI on a 2004 575M I just bought and the service was well done. You can eat off the garage floor its so neat and tidy. Many Ferraris and Lambos being worked on. My only comment on the cars for sale is that they are outside in the elements. I dont know if they bring them in at night but during the day they are not garage kept. Probably does not matter that much but just something to keep in mind.

I have a lot of time invested at Ruf looking at their cars :))), and know a lot about them, though have not spent my money there. I even met one of their owners, quite by accident, last week. Interesting story, but not relevant here.

I would, without hesitation, wholeheartedly recommend them and I wouldn't think twice about sending my car there for service. I was in the shop 2 weeks ago and their Ferrari mechanic was working on an F40, had recently spent time on and F50, and there was an Enzo in the shop. The 360 is in outstanding hands.

I have three cars from them - the Testarossa, the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, and the 993 Porsche Targa.

Whoops, make that four - stepson has an Aerokit 997 Porsche from RUF as well.

993 has had an engine overhaul there, Testarossa recent engine out service, and they went to superb extra efforts to sort out the AC on the Rolls when I bought it.
