    Well thanks for posting that
I am one of the Judges... only thing is our faithful leader Tim has been prepping and restoring a 944 cab had been painted at Stuart's Interior done Ruf fixed all that needed to be fixed (lots) and on his way home from the office night before last he got rear ended and sandwiched by a guy in a mustang with minimum insurable coverage.... 15k to cover damage to anyother vehicle.... 4 involved.....

Wow! I hope Tim was OK. Sounds like the car wasn't, very sad.

Karen and I will be there in her 968, probably towards the latter half of the event.

That is horrible. :( Anyone hurt? Cars can be fixed, people not so easily.

The state really needs to update the minimum liability requirements... $20k bodily injury is just a few days in the hospital and $15k is what, 1 totalled Kia?

Once again F-chat rigs..I mean wins another class award. None other than our very own Karen(Jakermc's better half). Her 968 blew the competition away. There wasn't another 968 there that even came close.

Now Jakermc's trophy from the Clubhouse wont be lonely anymore.

    Congrats again to Karen.

Jim, in his infinite wisdome, decided to award 'Best 968' to the only 968 there. We barely edged out the 2nd place winning 944, losing some points for the fact that the daily driver had not been washed prior to the event :)

There was a great turnout, lots of 944s and 928s, but not much representation from the forgotten 968s in the area. For those not familar with the car, Porsche only sold about 5,000 968s so they are rarer than Ferrari's recent models. It was sold from 1992-1995 when the D-mark had appreciated to crazy levels agaisnt the US $, making the car very expensive at a time when the US was struggling with its economy. It was the 'entry level' Porsche before the Boxster was introduced in 1997. It was also the largest and most powerful normally aspirated 4 cylinder ever produced at the time. 3 liters and 236hp.

Funny you say that, there was a table full of Hooters hot wings set up next to one of the service bays.
