Anyone have either of these 22's? The Ruger is a tried and true design with the Beretta being the new kid. I am looking for an accurate 22 with the option of a scope.

Stick with the Ruger. It is the small block Chevy of the pistol world. It has a ton of stuff that fits it (grips, scopes, triggers, etc), it's cheap, reliable and when you are tired of it is easy to sell.

Excuse me we might not be talking about the type of gun but hasn't Beretta made a 22 for years. My mom has a small one with a tip-up barrell

I will throw another one in the ring. I owned a Browning Buckmark 5.5 Target and LOVED it! This gun was so easy to shoot, EXTREMELY accurate, and cheap to shoot! I had mounted a ProPoint laser scope on it and really enjoyed my time with it. I sold all my guns about a year ago because I am so addicted to golf, it takes all my free time!

Ruger is ok. Good gun but a real nightmare to disassemble.
I STONGLY suggest you ask to be shown how the gun dissassembles before you buy. The most annoying gun I have ever disassembled.

Beretta still makes that. They have been making 22s for a very long time.

Of the two mentioned I would take the ruger. I have one and it is very reliable and accurate but as Paulk mentioned, it is a pain to take apart and reassemble.
My personal favorite would be the S&W model 41. very very well made and accurate.

A friend of mine has the U22 Neos, it is a great .22 pistol. Reliable, well made, accurate, and easy to shoot. Decent trigger too. The rail allows some fun optic mounting options.

The SW41 is much more money and has a reputation for unreliability, a reputation I can personally attest to. At any bullseye pistol match if there is an alibi on the line it is a 41
