Now, you're not reading the Hollywood Reporter, but show biz is turned on by
fast cars as a result of the Fast & Furious movies taking in so much moola such as $72 million the first weekend for Fast & Furious 4.

The latest rumor, circulating in late May 2011 was a dusting off and recirculation of the rumor from 2009 that Brad Pitt is being pitched to play Steve McQueen in a biographical film.
McQueen made a living with his starring roles in films with fast driving like The Great Escape and Bullitt, but is better known to enthusiasts for his other life involving
fast bikes and fast cars, which by the way included several Porsches and at least two
Ferraris, a 275GTB/4 NART spyder and a brown Lusso.

There are several other actors vying for the role including Ewan McGregor, Band of Brothers star Damien Lewis,
and the current James Bond lead, Daniel Craig.

The movie is said to be based upon Marshall Terrill’s biography “Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel “, and may cover McQueen’s addictions, including his penchant for
bikes, cars, women, and drugs. It may also delve into his three marriages and his struggles with lung cancer and the "miracle cure" he sought in Mexico.

McQueen is best remembered by enthusiasts for his trials and tribulations in getting themovie LeMans made- a story

also told in the book A French Kiss With Death, published in 1999 by Michael Keyser.

The film is expected to go into production early next year.

Re Pittne wonders if the lady of the house, Angelina, will let him drive fast cars but all I can say is:
