Is it Sasquatch? Nope. Loch Nessie? Heh, get real. Chupacabra? Put down the pipe, amigo! No it's... Erine's car driving!!! On the road, On it's own power. No lie. Disclaimer: I haven't seen it, but I have it on third party hearsay testimony that it is, in fact, true. Like the time they said they saw a UFO. Honest, really really.
I can verify! It was in my garage today getting brake lights rewired. Next rumor is that it will be getting a GothXaust and then you will not be the only cool sounding 348 in the neighborhood. So you better up your game!
Per communication with the man himself, I heard his own voice say he was on the road. Being in NC, and him in CA, i couldn't verify, but since he couldn't send me some parts to test with, I am assuming it is true... Although disappointed I couldn't beg/borrow/steal a fuse panel to test with, I'm certainly thrilled to hear he is running again. Especially with guests coming, and even more so how long it has been... CONGRATS!!! Now get those lights working properly... then call me and chew my azz for not posting about the fuse panel... BTW, switched "igniters", no change...
I saw it too! And it was definitely Ernie's car, not just Ernie in another car saying it was his! The really odd thing was, I didn't see any pink elephants or pigs flying! It lives! Good job, Ernie!
........... I have heard the rumor as well ......... !!!! .............. he even tried to convince me ............... by saying he needed to get rid of those 'two cans' and replace them with a proper 348 F1 exhaust ............... Time to post the Vince vid again ............. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2373567/custom_ferrari_348_hi_flow_exhaust_hand_crafted_by_gothspeed/
Er-nie, Er-nie, Er-nie!!! Yea!!! Upping my game, eh? Hmm, let's see. If it took Ernie a year to get his car running AND he needs a major, my guess is I've got a good year to come up with something else. Besides, I have a goth intake system, bored TBs (but so does Ernie now), ND pink chip. The next project will be a modified and more efficient airbox along with upper plenum and the fitment of larger TBs. Still got to install those 24 lb. injectors someday, but I think we need more air before getting more gas. Maybe... I'm just thinking aloud here...
Yeehaa! I don't think I've ever seen Ernie's car. Ernie's alternator - Yes. Ernie's fuel pump - Definitely. Ernier's fuse block - Quite. But the car itself - never. C'mon Ernie post up lil Nessie
No, no, no. My intake runners are ported, and flow matched. I haven't gotten the TB's ported.....yet.
Rumor has it that ernie will be getting a new exhaust as well ...................... .............. maybe then he will post some pics .......
Where are the pics? BTW, that PV area is beautiful. I was getting ready to retire there until the market fell apart. Maybe in 10 years I will be able to pull it off. I was just there a few months ago looking at a house on the cliff. What a beautiful place PV is.
I have managed to capture some images of the creature. I was out on a wonderful drive today in the mountains of Santa Barbara and made my way to an old stage coach stop. The name of the stop is the Cold Springs Tavern and the buildings are the originals that were built back in 1861. As I was enjoying the mountain scenery, ........ the creature appeared. Ernie you are a total schmuck! We in SoCal have all been to that tavern with every car club we ever belonged to - BMW, Corvette, Porsche and Ferrari. Enough with the pix of the old stage coach stop. Where's the freakin' CAR?!!!
Then there it was in all it's splendor. I had to be quick before it disappeared. I grabbed may camera and snapped some pics as it made it's way to the sun light, right in front of the tavern. Then as it moved near the creek running next to the establishment. Oh it was such a wonderful sighting, you should have seen it.
And now for the pictures you have all been waiting for. My 348. With me posing for the brotherhood in the last one. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
