My F430 came with Potenza S001 225/35/19-S in the front and Potenza RE05A 285/35ZR. I have never had run flats before, but I was always told that they give a much harsher ride. Obviously the F430 is stiff to start, how much worse do they tires add and has anyone switched between the two and felt a difference?

Fronts have only 2k miles, rears at 5k

    horrible

    get rid of them

had them from factory on a 530i. after 16K miles put on Michelins and got 3.5 miles per gallon more plus incredible ride.

have a C300 with Continental runflats. Terrible ride. they are giving way to Michelins

    terrible idea for tires

cannot understand anyone putting them on an F car

Run flats are noisy, ride terrible and expensive to repair/replace. Other than that . . . .

My experience with them comes from a few BMWs over the years.

Run flats are a very poor choice. My experience with run flats on several Corvettes where they were OEM revealed them to be very harsh riding due to the stiff sidewall, very heavy and had less handling ability than a comparable conventional tire.

    exactly what I have experienced

Makes the vehicle ride very rough especially over uneven road surfaces

    absolute junk

Ditto others saying lose the run flats. I recently test drove a new Mercedes Benz and it had run flats. This was not an entry level 300 but an $80k car. Rode very harsh and when I hit a small pothole (maybe 1.5" deep) you would have thought it was 8" deep the car was so shocked. Manufactures try and save a little wt., cost and add storage space in the trunk. For this reason alone, I walked away.
The window sticker for my 08 F430 showed run flats and I was surprised Ferrari would even offer this.
