Runs have been played out for awhile here on f-chat, however the following site may help satisfy that need: exoticsrally.com
I used to post a bunch of runs on here, but then the runs started being more Japanese and German cars than Ferraris and other exotic cars, so I stopped. I am a big car fan, and I like all types of cars, and I do not care who owns or drives what, because I appreciate all interesting cars and people who like to talk about them. However, when I post up a run on Fchat and get 3 Fcars (mine being one of them), 4 BMWs, 2 Hondas and 2 Mercedes, it stops being about the passion for Ferraris and other exotic cars and starts being about people who want to drive recklessly to show you that their car is faster than yours. I think it is really distasteful to put up a run and say something like, "Ferraris only" or "Exotic cars only" because that is really snotty-sounding and snobbish, so it is just as easy to set up runs amongst the people I already know (just look me up on flick'r). So if you do have a Ferrari and really want to find people to run with, shoot me a note on Flick'r or a PM on here. And if you want to find people like this in the Tri State area, you can generally find a big group of them (and me) at the Gotham Dream Cars events that they post throughout the year.
Dave, don't worry next time you want a ferrari only run just PM me and I will be the eh-nus who says fcars only ;-). Hope to see some of the folks soon at a fcar only event, except Sam he is welcome with that mini-me fcar he now drives. In all seriousness, the weather has been so dreadful I have not had a car out in months. Can't wait for the better weather to get here.
So there are a sort of underground F-gatherings?! Organized under the radar to not dilute the integrity of a line of Fs? I'm down with that! I'm not a snob either (maybe somewhat), but I get it. I do the same thing w.my Ducati rides. While I don't discriminate sometimes I just want what I want. I will PM you guys and please do the same if you wind up w.impromptu drives.
C'mon, we've done a lot of great runs, but yes, they have been under the radar. And sometimes, we even let Robby come with his Student Driver
