Evening all, Rob, what's the score with the Aston now??? How are you settling into the Porker? SteveF, do you know of any nice S4/GTS 928's? Cheers, Al.
Al, Not sure how much you know about 928's but in my opinion the S4 is a good car but the GTS with the 5.4ltr engine is prone to a few problems and shorter engine life. I believe they use quite a lot of oil. Fantastic cars though and on the lookout for one myself. Trevor.
LOL! The 999 and most likely the 1098 would send me to a chiropractor! If I can hide it from the Family somewhere I may sneak into an ST3 or something...... It seems all my funds have been frozen until I mature..........does any mental development take place between the ages of 50 and 60????? Seems they are upset, about the barn full of early 308GTBs........
Hiya mate... The Astons gone back to Aston Martin Cambs for good. The Porker is a blast, one or two jobs to do but nothing major, deal with them in the new year!
I had a 928 Club Sport, it was the best car I have owned. Although it lacked the Ferrari passion it made my Mondy seem like a milk float
Yummy Yummy Ducati and Mv Agusta make the best looking bikes by far. Those Italians sure have a flair for good looking bike
I've had one of each & they've both been super motors, done a lot of miles & not cost a fortune. My biggest worry I think is being able to afford one before they rocket in value.
It was pretty rare, they only made about 72 so they could homologate it for Le Mans. It was factory tuned and factory lightened, a bit like their equivalent of the Strad. http://www.928.org.uk/mambo/content/view/96/51/
Suprising how few cars Porsche made back in that era - my 993 is one of only 75 c4 cabs. Sounds like a nice bit of kit Pete.
I did it on feb 25th 2000 on a saturday evening taking a mate out for a spin. I came off a roundabout quickly and there was some diesel on the road, and you can guess the rest 5 weeks later I got the Mondy
The problem with the 928 is it wasn't the best looking car out there. Saying that build quality was excellent and I loved mine, but they aren't appreciated as much as they should be, unlike the 911 series. Personally I think the 70's/80's 911 Turbo is the best looking car Porsche produced.
