    Teague hasn't responded to me, as an early adopter I had some quirks with my setup, now I'm not sure why the silent treatment

    Looks like the one I had Teague build for me as it has a bit bigger tips.

    I had mine built in the fall, September I think. The exhaust in the pic above looks like it has 4" tips rather than the standard 3.5". I asked Teague to build mine with a bit bigger tips and to my knowledge, no one else has requested that again, although it is possible.

    BTW, sometimes I got PM with these kind of questions:
    1. How loud?
    2. Any increase in acceleration/max speed?

    Answer is I don't know to both.
    Maybe somebody with a DB Meter can measure it?
    And with just changing an exhaust, any hp/performance gain will be very minimal.

    Changing the exhaust- hp/performance is not actually minimal. 23 hp gains on a SCUD not to mention a significant weight reduction over the rear wheels.

    18% is a massive gain!!!!

    Link doesn't work, +18% of what ? if rwhp its b*llocks from an exhaust alone unless a larger engine is involved

    He was trying to link this:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142729737-post52.html

    ...no offense intended to anyone, but that dyno doesn't have enough info to really be considered credible. For one, the peak HP is 266kW which equals 356whp. That would mean the Scud is suffering from ~30% drivetrain loss. Not possible. It should be somewhere around 12-20%.

    Math:

    266kW = 356bhp
    510ps = 503bhp
    503 - 356 = 147
    147 / 503 = 29.2% drivetrain loss

    There are also a host of other critical pieces of information missing including, but not limited to: A/F ratio, ambient temp, altitude, atm pressure, iat, correction factor, dyno type, etc. etc.

    thanks for the clarification but all credibility is truly lost with such ridiculous posts ... not taking away from the fact that the X pipe S Line is a truly brilliant product but I'm confused at why people do this or are connected to it, do they think we are all stupid ???

    I doubt it is anything so nefarious; likely more just lack of critical examination of dyno data....which requires substantial scientific control and proper scrutiny to really draw any serious conclusions. I don't think it's obvious to people that haven't been modifying cars for a while. It wasn't immediately obvious to me when I started out either...

    I think the most nefarious post in this entire debacle is RichardCH's relentless attempts at defaming the s-line exhaust system. Not sure what the end game is for this piss fest, but I hope it ends soon coz it's gotten old.

    Dude, on a positive note - did you ever post any of your dynos anywhere from the tuning etc you had done? Cool article btw - I never saw that before.

    I will do some spring cleaning in the garage to find the "after" dyno results. After 2 years of searching and tinkering, I was just really anxious to get everything in there already hehe. And to be 100% frank, I didn't really care for the performance gains, that F1 sound and the assurance that ambient engine bay temps were indeed dramatically lower after install made me a happy boy.

    As for the article, I figured dupont would surely edit out a bunch of stuff, but I was really happy to see they published everything I sent them!

    Nobody disputes that the S Line X pipe is a great product but lets stick with reality/facts please & there is a probably a fine line for over promotion from non board sponsors ....

    finally got around to installing my S-Line and I can say that Teague builds a quality product. Much easier to install and tweak the tips to the proper location than most other systems. Sounds great too. Due to snow, I could only idle and rev rather than drive to test it out. some pics and video clip for your enjoyment.

    Note that I have my straight pipes on as cats are being fabricated, so you can imagine how loud it was in a closed garage. And I should have left the lights off as I am sure I see flames coming out the pipes lol.

    suggest some Redback Mini cats to go with. I installed my Kline Inconel 625 HJS 100 cell cats today, which together with my Fuchs/Novitec valved Xpipe tail section & Capristo headers will howl like nothing else as it already howled like a tuned motorbike beforehand. I need to get a lighter diffuser though as my 430 Spider diffuser is at least twice the weight of my SCUD one. Any suggestions anyone, I don't even need it to be Carbon ??
