Here's a video of an F12 with IPE exhaust vs F430 with S-Line exhaust (Brent's car) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbDSuv8jiSU[/ame]
I have two clips but I'm not sure if I can post them. The 458 system sounds insane. Like, really insane. If there is any Ferrari that needs it, it's the 458. It gives it that unmistakable Ferrari sound.
It's comparable but not quite as loud as the Novitec and a higher pitch than the Novitec. But hard to tell for sure as I only heard a recording of the Novitec.
I think my S-Line screaming sound scared away the deer [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRqrmzviuvw[/ame]
Here with stock everything else, it's inside though so hard to tell the loudness. Search other users' posts on this thread or the other thread also, some has S-Line exhaust only. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifEg_2xXNgU[/ame]
Mine was shipped off today. Can't wait. Does anyone know if he includes the clamps from the S-Line to the Cats?
Mine did not come with any but I made a comment that he should include them since they're under $20. The factory ones are welded in, so you will need new clamps.
Yeah, he literally just emailed me back that he's going to include those. Mine broke as I removed them.
The instruction say that the bumper needs to be removed in most cases. Is that right? I thought that it could be installed without removing it?
Wheel liner? I already have the diffuser and all underpanels removed. Did you go to Street Car Takeover a few months back? I usually go to the St.Louis one. It's coming back on the 16th.
Yep, I was at the Topeka one. It's a plastic vent panel that attaches to the wheel liner. I thought removing it and the wheels gave more room for tip installation, hanging and alignment.
Got the headers and exhaust installed. It sounds pretty insane. But, my wife hates it of course. That initial start up is terrifying.
AP headers and S line being installed this week along with annual service. Time to start driving in AZ, hopefully cooler days ahead......
Congrats, Eric! I bet it feels very satisfying having done all the work yourself. Now.... You have to upload a video of that beast! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
+1... I tried not to start the car too early in the morning. However, the loud noise doesn't last for that long. Once, I tried with my garage door closed and got yelled at my wife "Are you trying to leave our family this way by garage door closed???"
You could find Ronnie's video clips. I have few but not a good videos as the camerawoman wasn't professional.. haha Sound is insane but very quiet while cruising on the highway. Mine is a spider so if I can say quiet, it is quiet... Beast comes out after the needle hits 500 RPM +... Definitely less drone on low RPM's. I have no single negative issue on putting Fabspeed headers and S line exhaust (My set up).
Just got an S-Line x-pipe installed on my scud. I think it sounds great but wanted to share that the sound is significantly louder than the stock exhaust. Others posted that the sound level is about the same as OEM. I think these folks were talking about the stock exhaust with the OEM exhaust valves stuck open as the stock system with the valves closed is much quieter. I'm not saying the x-pipe is too loud and would still recommend it to others as the F1 shriek on the top end is amazing. Just wanted to share this information with anyone considering getting an x-pipe. I think the ideal situation would be an x-pipe with valving/baffles that enable you to quiet it down for quieter startup and when just motoring around town. This, however, would add weight to the system, which would be unfortunate as weight savings is one of the benefits of the x-pipe.
The additional plumbing would also increase heat retention, as seen on my old Kreissieg exhaust and because of it's placement, heat soak through the airbox becomes a big issue unless you upgrade to a GruppeM ram airbox w integrated heatshield or make a heatshield for the stock airbox.
