Alright im in the line to trade in my car for something else. Currently i own a honda s2000 (2000 with 55k miles) Unfortuneately i already sold my winter/daily car and will be moving in a few months. This means ill have a longer commute, and have to bring along items on my daily activities thus making the S2000 unpracticle at this point. Ive been looking into a sports sedan or coupe.

    2001.5 -b5 Audi S4 (nogaro Blue with blue Alcantara interior)50k miles -$21k
    2003- B6 Audi A4 1.8t dolphin Grey 17k miles - $24

Those are two prospects i have already seen others i was considering were

    2004- Bmw 325
    2002-03 Bmw 330

Well im giving up the sports car thing for a little while, i still want some performance or at least possibility of performance down the road. Anyone have any other suggestions trying to stay in the mid 20's if possible

    Thanks Guys;

It'll probably be the least reliable, but I'd go with the B5 S4. It's by far my favorite out of those and you can easily mod it.

Go for the 330. In my experience Audi's tend to be too unreliable for something I'd depend on as a daily driver, and with the S4 you're looking at replacing both turbos at or before 100k miles.

My vote is for the S4, I have had mine since early 2002 and have logged over 86,000 miles, (36,000 of which have been MTM Stage 1 chipped) with no issues I drive 20 miles each way to and from work and the car has never left me stranded or had any mechanical problems. If you live at altitude ( I live at 7,350 ft) there is no other choice as the BMW will be wheezing to keep up. The S4 with Blizzaks easily out performs my previous Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota 4Runner in the snow. The car is very quick and almost feels as fast as my F355 once you are above 7,000 feet in the mountains. Please do not think the BMW's are bullet proof, I used to have an M3, but it was in the shop all of the time and was one of the easiest cars I have ever replaced, I bought an NSX and never looked back, except with relief knowing that it was gone. Get the S4, run synthetic oil, let it warm up before running it hard and cool down before shutting it off and chip it only to stage 1, you will be reliable and you will not be disappointed!

S4 best daily driver I have ever had. Stage one is fine suspension upgrade and exhaust and your set. Pretty bullett proof. I am on my fourth one. Now have a 2005.5. Love it!

Well im going tomorrow to check out the S4 in person, its audi CPO and covered until 100k miles of which ive checked the dealer warranty coverage and it says the turbochargers are covered. I live in NY ( albany currently) but am moving to the Nyack Area and will be commuting to NYC (about 40-1hr depending). So with Ny comes the winters to.

Who knows guys I would love to splurge a little and go with what i really want;a 993, but like i said ive decided to cut the budget and stay within the mid twenties and put the rest towards debt like school loans.(which is possible but i would rather not use that as a daily)

We'll see how it goes but keep the comments and opinions coming

    1. Mercedes C class perhaps? Don't know much about them.

    2. Saab 9-3 turbo. My sister has an '06 and while I'm not a Saab man it's actually a damn nice car. It's no Viper killer but the 2.0T performance is still really impressive. I think the '05s are in the low 20s, and this '06 is essentially a carbon copy of what she has. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-SAAB-9-3-TURBO-CHILI-RED-4K-MILES-SAVE_W0QQitemZ140021487257

    3. Volvo S60 or S80. Just an example, this 5 cylinder turbo is going for a hair under $24K. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ONLY-18K-MILES-FACTORY-WARRANTY-MUST-SEE-TEXAS-BARGAIN_W0QQitemZ220017999964

I only have experience with one Audi and it was a 2001 A6 with the 2.7T engine (same as the S4). The vehicle was great up to 36k miles when it decided it liked the dealerships service department more than my driveway and was constantly breaking down... Vacuum hoses 'cracking', fan relays, sensors going and then the MAF needed to be replaced... That car was very easy to get rid of when the opportunity presented itself. BTW Saabs are one of the top 'lemon' cars out there, get one with a warrenty...

Definately the 330. I had two 328's years ago and they are great! Drove a 330 once (as a loaner) and that engine is sublime. So smooth and quick.

    Good luck.

so checked out the S4 today....and well i should be picking it up sometime next week (busy schedule) it was in amazing condition for the vehicle the interior alacantara doesnt even look like its been used at all. I was really happy to see it so it made giving up the S2000 a little easier. Ill post some pics in a week or so providing the final details all get worked out accordingly ...Thanks for the help guys

I do have to say there are a lot of Great cars out there but the sound of the V6 twin turbo and sitting in the blue alcantara seats (which audi will no longer make as of 02) and hearing it ...it was the only one that brought a smile to my face after driving it; the gf looked at me and said "well i guess thats a yes huh? i saw the smirk you like it "
