A few days ago I saw an S600 but when rounding the back I saw that it was labeled, S600 on the left side with an AMG badge on the right. I know theres an S55 AMG, but an S600 AMG? Is this just a badge you can tack on or something? Thanks,
    David

Its just a badge. The new one will be an S65 but there is no s600 AMG as far as I know.

Same here, I agree its just a badge. I've seen someone here in the Chicago area throw spinner wheels on their 500S and then for some reason think they had to slap an AMG label on the back. No work to the engine, exhaust, the funky wheels made them think AMG. Can't explain that one.

during my car shopping adventures yesterday, I looked at the new CL65. It is pretty nice, but not much different (appearance wise) than the CL500/55/600. The biggest difference are the three-piece magnesium AMG wheels and the V12-BiTurbo badge on the side.

I will however say, when you lay on the gas, it is quite a different experience. *cough*.

At 183k, they can keep it though.

A loaded CL500 goes for just over 100k. The CL55 closer to 130k, the CL65, which is a 600 hp monster with a V12 and bi turbos is well worth the money. Considering you get the speed of a super car and the comforts of a benz.

I wouldnt spit at it, thats for sure.

It thought if one orders an S-class with the sport package, it gets AMG wheels, front air dam and the badge? Any owners out there?

The sport package on an S-class...gets you AMG wheels...front apron, rear apron, side skirts and that's it...no special badge.

    Well.......for another $50K+ USD over a CL55 or CL600 and only "another" 100HP I'd have to wonder.

Keys dropped from a Lear jet anyone ???? It'll make a GREAT used car buy in 4 years when the warranty expires.....maybe I could get on the waiting list at my dealer. You're right though.....it's a value leader compared to the Italian stuff.......

You don't get the AMG badges from the factory unless you get an AMG car from the factory. I sold MB's for 10 years and we sold lots of badges to people wanting to pose.....heh.

CL65 is a great car, and I would love to own one, but not at 183K.

You quoted the loaded Cl500 at over 100K. Well a slightly used one is fetching 40-60K on the used market with CPO warranty.
    Now THAT is a bargain.

Wait a few years, and when the CL65 comes down in price, then it would be worth it.

To me at 140, the CL65 is an Ok deal. Regardless of power, remember most people will think its nothing more than a CL500.

For 100 large, I can get a used F355 and have much more of a visceral experience.
