SA 2010 Helmet Group Buy

Am keen! Care to share how much savings we can get for arai helmets?

 

Check stock levels first...Helmet companies are hurting and many are low or out of stock. Only a few large stocking dealers and they usually get top dollar.

 

Interested. It is time to retire the old Bieffe F1GP SA2000 helmet and my gf's Bieffee F1 SA2000. Depending on discount/availability, put me in interest for two helmets early next year.

Bookmarking now, and will send you something, hopefully in a few weeks.

I should have the pricing structure for each manufacturer within the next 2 weeks. I will then update the thread and then start taking orders.
Please know that since Snell rated SA2010 helmets have not been available until last month, these helmets are current inventory.
I have been advised by the vendor that not all manufacturers and styles have been shipped to retailers yet, in fact, he tells me that several styles of Bell have just been received and are being tested for quality control.
As soon as I have more information, I will let you know.

I am interested - one of the most important features, often hard to find out, is what does each helmet weigh? I'd like any guidance the vendors can supply, as all other things being equal, I have to think lighter is better

Just an FYI, SA2005's are good for 5 more years...and Helmets should be replaced every 5 years with normal wear&tear...Sa05's are on super sale now, and might be a good alternative for an sA2010. Just trying to save people a buck, but good job getting the GB together!

Any idea if this happens before Cavallino ( Jan 18)?

I moved and my helmet and suit are in a box somewhere.

I'm guessing it will be a while but this needed a bump.

 

The group buy for helmets is still on but a bit delayed due to manufacturers delay in shipping inventory.
Helmets are available but not all manufacturers have shipped all models, sizes, and colors and as a result, the time line for the group buy has changed.
You should check with your sanctioning body to confirm when they will require more current Snell rated helmets.
Below is the list of the available manufacturers and the percent discount from the MSRP. Each manufacturer will make available various models and sizes as they are received, the expected availability of the helmets is also shown below:

*Simpson colors (other than white) may take an additional 10-14 days as they are made to order.

Shipping costs are approximately $7-$13 UPS ground and will be confirmed with you when payment is made.

Here is how you can participate in this group buy:
1. Provide me with:
Name
Email address
Daytime phone number
Make, Model, color and size of the helmet you want

2. This information will be provided to the vendor and you will be contacted by them for your payment information and shipping address and confirmation of availability.

3. Because of the variability of the dates when inventory is available, this group buy will be ongoing until March 31. This means that if you know what make, model, color, and size you want, and provide me with your order, and if the helmet is available, you will receive it promptly after making payment.

It seems most of the sanctioning bodies are extending SA2000 helmets through 2012 due to the shortages of the 2010 helmets.

 

The group buy is on and models from Arari, Bell and Simpson are in stock and ready to be shipped.
I am submitting orders to the vendor at the end of the week and a number of you had indicated interest in getting in on this group buy so please send me your information.
