I don't see how you can't be. Registries are awesome from an enthusiast/geek point of view. Good luck Carbon with tracking them all down.
Thanks, Tom! I don't think Peter was being rude; some people honestly don't see the importance of registries, and I can respect that.
Yes, you could own two. Or more. Just kidding - I understand why people track serial numbers and it is in fact an extremely important part of ensuring Ferrari history remains accurate. There are people who make their living on this. I have seen about 8 Apertas at the factory two weeks ago but have no serial numbers for you, sorry. What you might be interested in knowing is that one was being converted by the factory to 599GTO specification at the behest of its owner. Quite the stylish way to get your hair ruffled! Onno

Dave, Didnt know you were there last night...I didnt snap a pic of the vin but asked Tyler today if he could send it with Richards permission:No need now,lol What a beautiful car and a lucky man he is. I would take the Aperta over the GTO and Richard has that too so he is super lucky. Here are some not so great pics.......... Unfortunately I wasn't there last night, I stopped by a few minutes ago to pickup some tickets to the car show next week.
There might be some yes, but still not confirmed yet - Utah, Ontario, Washington, California already confirmed though but they are not really Southeast.
They have a covered customer car on the floor of Auto Gallery in Calabasas. I thought it would be in bad form to lift the cover myself so I didnt get the #.
Sometimes you gotta take one for the team! Right now, this thread isn't so much an orgy as it is a make out party. I put the "orgy" part in the thread title because I thought, we could look back years from now, and all of the serial numbers would be in here - and when I say years from now, I meant as soon as possible.
As you know Carbon we have a second car here in Sweden, but i havent managed to track the s/n down yet =/
I was at Ferrari of Tampa Bay 3 weeks ago and they had a silver one with velvet ropes around it. Im going to try to go back this week and see if they still have it and get the Vin for you.
I have read that there are 20 Apertas in the US in total. For sure it helps, thanks a lot! Does the spotter have pics of all of them? Or maybe they have already been posted here on Telaio. Knowing the exact posts will help in linking them to the descriptions above
Yup, he sent me some links, some of the cars I have just found here on F-chat, few updates also, Miller's Aperta isn't white on black, but white on red/creme, so the car spotted in Miami is same that was spotted at Miller Motorcars and it goes away from the list, few more additions are two Ferrari of Central Florida cars, 19 US Apertas total, seems that there could be few more at Cavallino, but seems 20 cars in total seems pretty accurate. 1) Black on Tan, spotted in Beverly Hills. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dirkap/6273447868 2) White/Blue on Black, spotted somewhere in California http://youtu.be/qTjKMvnYElU 3) Creme on Brown car, spotted somewhere in California 3) http://www.flickr.com/photos/countach_fan/6650774705/ 4) Rosso Dino on black/creme, spotted in Newport Beach http://youtu.be/kUlm1PBCFgU 5) Grey on black, Ferrari Calabasas http://www.flickr.com/photos/juergenspicsseetheworld/6385159475 6) Black on black, Ferrari Silicon Valley http://www.flickr.com/photos/juergenspicsseetheworld 7) Pearl White on tan, Ferrari Seattle No pics 8) Blue on black, Ferrari Seattle and seen in Monterey http://www.flickr.com/photos/25177654@N07/6191515970 9) Black on black in Utah, featured in R&T http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1446392&stc=1&d=1325877321 10) Red with white stipe on red, seen in Monterey http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephanbauer/6249027408 11) Pearl Yellow on Black in Michigan http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1412753&stc=1&d=1319804790 12) Red on black in Dallas http://www.flickr.com/photos/jacobbaileyphotography/6363648151/ 13) Light blue on black in Houston http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1424413&stc=1&d=1321833557 14) Red on red, modified, spotted at CEC Wheels in LA http://www.flickr.com/photos/chazzz15/6591476335/in/photostream 15) White on black/creme, Miller Motorcars http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1367694&stc=1&d=1312372166 16) Red on black Ferrari of LI http://youtu.be/rnIwfTAwqTk 17) Black on black with red piping&stitching, was spotted during factory collection and in Monaco, US spec car http://www.flickr.com/photos/passion_supercars/5840031054/ 18) Silver on black, Ferrari of Central Florida http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1386509&stc=1&d=1315586651 19) Red/silver on black, Ferrari of Central Florida http://www.flickr.com/photos/photogto/6342760756/in/photostream/
..Are 9 and 17 possibly the same car? the R&T article car (which was picked up in Maranello and driven up through Monaco) looks identical to the nero/nero w red piping pics seen earlier. Thanks again to Mr. Losee for sharing his experiences.
