[SA]F1 Watching Party

Anyone going to FoSA F1 watching party?

 

I'll be there...

 

supposed to be a short drive from there and back for the race. not sure if i'll make that or just the race......

maybe we could go somewhere after....a little drive, hang out, have a few beers, some dinner........

The Ferrari Club of America, Hill Country Chapter's sponsoring Ferrari Dealer, Barrett Ferrari of San Antonio, is planning a US Grand Prix viewing party for our club. Race day in Sunday, July 2. Preliminary plans are to have everybody arrive at the dealership (bring your Ferrari) around 10:30 AM to prepare for a short hill country drive, which will start at 11:00 AM. Returning to the dealership by noon, we will have lunch and some pre-race activities. Pre-race commentary on Speed Channel starts at 12:30 PM, and the race starts at 1:00 PM.

In order to provide the dealership with the necessary planning information, everybody who plans to attend is requested to RSVP to Phil Winebrenner <[email protected]> by Thursday, June 29. Please specify if you will be attending alone or with a guest.

This is a good chance to see members from other parts of our Chapter (we have members in Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and other places around the Hill Country). I look forward to seeing many of you at the event.

Ha Ha, very funny Wes! Do you really think anyone would be stupid enough to get the dates confused!? I'm driving from Austin... there is no way that would happen to me.

 

Well... I wasn't going to say any names or point any fingers...

Canadian GP is this weekend.

US GP is July 2, just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page here.




by the way... I can make that happen for you next weekend. It left to go back home to its owner, but I can arrange for a viewing if you like.

 

Where was everyone today???? i showed up at the dealership and they said it was next week, not today...crap...

No no im kidding, i know its next sunday....

Anyone else planning on going? Phil emailed me and said there should be a good turn out, he has various fcars coming...

The FCA Hill Country Chapter's US Grand Prix viewing party will be held at Barrett Ferrari of San Antonio, this Sunday, July 2. The dealership is located at 15423 IH-10 West (exit UTSA Blvd .... just inside loop 1604), San Antonio, TX 78249.

Please note the new schedule:

9:30 AM; Arrive at Ferrari of San Antonio for a continental breakfast
10:15 AM: First car leaves for short rallye
11:15 AM: Last car returns from rallye
11:30 AM: Pre-race show and lunch begin
12:00 Noon: US Grand Prix live race viewing begins

 

I plan on driving the morning drive backwards.

 

I'll probably meet up at the Y in Oak Hill (like always). Who else would like to venture down there in the morning?

Got an update from Scott. There wil be raffle tix as part of the drive, so I may end up doing the drive.

 

Scott said we will leave the "Y" at 8:00am sharp.
