Who would be interested in getting together once a month for a Saturday or Sunday drive up highway 49 and a stop for lunch? Or maybe a run from Sac down 80, to 37 to 101 over the Golden Gate and back.

I have been bad at getting involved in the Sacramento get togethers. It always seems something else was always on my wife's schedule for us to do. We have both enjoyed the drives we were able to make and need to be more diligent in our attendance.

Last weekend my sister and her fiancé were in town and we took them down to Tiburon for lunch at Sam's Anchor Cafe on the water. Great food and atmosphere. There appeared to be ample parking near the restaurant. Just a thought for a possible drive/location.

Let me know when and where you plan the next get together and I will clear the calendar.

If you guys are going to make the trip to Sam's give us a heads up on the FOG thread as I am sure many local members would be interested in meeting you for a meal and maybe local drive afterward.

JRQ - there is a thread called SACRED - they get together occasionally and do some drives in our area - Sacramento - so you might want to look at that thread in the NORCAL section.
JM3 is one of the regulars...Orrie is the ring leader, along with a number of others in town.

Also, the FOG guys are awesome with their drives over in the Marin area. Vraiment is the ring leader there :) Worth the trip over - as I do as often as possible ( Hi Joe ! I promise I'll be there next time home!!)

I live in Cool, and will be back from sea in late April so I am sure we'll get together and have some fun. 49 is awesome .... tough to have to drive it and 193.... as often as possible.

    Jon,

I'd welcome to opportunity to run with you on your drives - I usually put the routes together for SACRED, so driving without leading would be a welcome change once in a while! :)

My spring and summer schedule are starting to fill up (new fifth wheel camper, which the wife enjoys immensely, has caused us to book quite a few trips already...), so drives in the F-Car (which the wife doesn't care for nearly as much, sadly...) have to take a back seat (so to speak, since I don't have one!) this year. But I'll make what I can!

Just sold my 911S, so can't do those drives, but JRQ, keep up with the SACRED thread as a few of us have an empty seat (I do now) so a passenger is often welcome.

I should be in attendance - it's the one time a year I can get my Spider onto a track, even if it's only for the (pretty damn quick!) parade laps!
