I am not clear on the details yet, but know that a police escorted cruise is being organized by the Towe Auto Museum on August 1st. Old Sacramento, Mid-Town, and I beleive CSUS are three of the main staging areas. Food, driving, and lots of preferential treatment is the genre. Towe is wanting a european super and exotic influence and has already been reaching out within its community to fill the line up with the cars of their choice. I will post more details but know they are making arrangements and being prepared for the out of town folks by coordinating with local businesses. Since this is their first run on this...any thoughts on what would make it perfect? I have been to one of their planning meetings and have been invited to the next also.

I'd love to do a cruise that's 2 minutes from my house.

I can also put together a small website for them. PM me if interested.

One thing they MIGHT consider is having it in July instead. With the Monterey shows (Pebble Beach, Concorso, etc.) going on in August, some people might be cleaning their cars or just taking that weekend to be with the family since they will be gone the other weekend.

Bill...I agree completely but after many previous discussions they had decided that August would be the month (they felt it is THE car month) and they picked the weekend before Concorso, and the day before Hot August Nights kicks off deliberatly. Brilliant or bad decision ~ time will tell.

This museum is popular with certain car crowds and the city of Sacramento so they have some resources to kick this off right. Jon and Adrien....appreciate the website offers. They have that one covered already. While the date is set....route is being laid out, name being worked on, vendors gathered, and beginning/middle/end points are having kinks worked out. I hope to have an input on the route and am very curious about the activities on the stops and final destinations. Since this is first annual, they seem fairly open to ideas that would make this a coveted affair for years to come. Will keep posting the updates and looking for anyone's suggestions
