Well, yesterday I took a great top down drive with the 355, but this morning....put the top up for the first time since it was in for service many months ago. Such a sad thing...but before people from the southern states or California start making comments: (1) it makes the spring top down drive anticipated and appreciated and (2) I don't have to live in Kalifornia :) (sorry for the humor- I'm just jealous of the Cali weather!)

My rule is over 45 degrees and the top is down (although windows may be up/heat on), but not looking like we'll be much over that in the next couple of weeks, and so my assumption is the top is up for the rest of the year. I also put the M&S tires/smaller wheels on my daily driver (rear wheel drive BMW), so I'm not a happy driver nowadays :)

I actually got to drive my car up here into November that usually doesnt happen. I tend to park for the season the day it snows.

My great Uncles funeral was Nov 18 it was 70f outside. Next day it ****ing snows, no real gradual cold setting in for the season no real time to acclimatize.

The weather was crazy this year almost no spring it was really cold until april then it was warm into November.

If I lived in North Carolina still Id be driving the Ferrari year round.

I'll drive the car in the winter- as long as not salt on the roads! It's just that I hate driving with the top up...

You guys are correct though- can't push the car when driving on summer tires when it's near freezing out! (or even below 50 degrees) and no way are winter tires (skates as Johnny calls them) going on my 355!

I have been driving for the past two weeks with the top up. No idea how Berlinetta guys do this all the time. Top down driving in a 355 is the only way to fly.

Had a lunch run yesterday....but things are slowly winding down. Sadly. One more weekend? Maybe?

Ha! I don't get it either...sold a perfectly good stick 360 coupe because I couldn't stand not having the open air when driving...for the feel, sounds, experience! spider all the way ;)

I wind down the windows if I need more. It's noisy enough with the windows up. That was in my F355 and since I sold that my 360.
    Coupe for looks especially profile.
We do have an Alfa Spider though, not as noisy from its four pot but definitely Italian sounding :)

I put my top up last weekend for the winter. And it stuck going up :(
But your right. Winter makes the 1st drive of Spring is so much more invigorating. It's a right of passage - Bikinis out of storage, Ferrari tops down.

Uhh, I thought it is: Ferraris out of storage, Bikini tops down??? ha!

My convertible was slow going up towards the end of travel (actually I went back and forth a little 1-2x to get it to go as far as it should)- I think I just need to top up the fluid as low fluid would do that...

Just to keep you all in good cheer, I'll post some top down beach drive photos this January.

Yup I will too in the meantime here is one from December. If anything, winter driving is probably my favorite in LA :) It's a GTS by the way and the roof is usually off but I had just washed it.

Putting away your fun car for Winter does suck but the anticipation of the first Spring drive is like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

    Good advice right here ;)
Couple years back in the 20 degree range on a clear dry day in January.
Less than a 1/2 mile from the house so tires still cold.
Took a turn in 2nd and got a bit to heavy on the gas half way thru the corner .....
Drove straight home and put myself in time out for a week.

If the roads are dry, the tach is high.

Also, getting a fun winter car makes passing the time a little more tolerable.

I am officially done. 5 inches yesterday. I don't mind the snow, but our state uses a salt-brine mix that gets heavily spread on the roads. That salt mix gets everywhere in my daily drivers.

I am done until the first big rainstorm of 2017. :(
