I don't think this has been posted, but our local black Ferrari Enzo owner has passed away. I was shocked to hear the news today and was told this happened a couple weeks ago.

I'm sure we all have stories of his generosity and here is mine. For the past several months I've been working on my car travel book and been shooting pictures all around Arizona. To help out my wife, I've taken my daughter to several of the car shows. During one of the shows he came up to her (She is 4 and loves Ferraris ..of course) and asked her if she would like to sit in the driver’s seat. She was thrilled and he was a most gracious host to allow her. Most collector car owners plaster their car with “Do not touch” signs and he opened up his doors for the kids. RIP.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago but didn't know the owner. Sounds like he was a real tifoso. May he rest in peace.

It was recently listed for sale there, so yes, but I wasn't aware that it had sold already.

I was stunned to hear the news. The last time I spoke to him he was full of life and headed to NASCAR in phx. Zoom! Went the enzo out of Julio G's after a car show. It is so sad to see someone full of life and a gentle person live such a short life. He will always be remembered by me for his encouraging words to start a business and push hard.
    RIP,

It's not sad. F.A. lived his life to the fullest and left the world, I suspect, a happy man.
We should celebrate his life and try to emulate his example, especially with regard to cars. Too many of us treat them like precious artwork, hidden away and never used for the purpose they were intended. F.A. drove his Enzo between AZ and Alberta and enjoyed it every day. I'm sure he's not resting in peace, but tearing it up in the celestial raceways. It was good to know you F.A.

I met him at the first year of the Ferrari Driving School and became immediate friends. Although separated by many miles, we kept in touch and visited regularly. I found this Enzo for him while attending a medical meeting in Vegas. Called him and he bought it on the spot. I regret that I turned down the chance to drive the car from Vegas to Phoenix upon delivery -- working instead of enjoying life with my friend (the opposite of what he would have done). He was a great man who was kind, self-made, lived life to the fullest, and was a great father and husband. This car was his favorite material possession and he often said "you never really own an Enzo, you just take care of it for the next owner". He died suddenly while washing it. I went to his funeral and afterwards sat in his car for a few minutes in the garage. It was only then that I could properly say goodbye.

If he was washing the Enzo at least you could say that he died doing something he loved... RIP....
