Typical looters. Take the wheels, leave the $50K engine intact. How much are flights to Tunisia?

Agreed. They could have removed the interior with care instead of thrashing it, then sold pieces off on Ebay. Same with the carbon ceramic brakes. That would have helped them recoup the money siphoned off by Tunisia's first family.

I saw at the weekend how a local went and confiscated a yellow 599 from the deserted pesidents garage, because he believed it belongs to the people after the presidents wife went to national bank and took 1 and a half tons of gold when she fled ( about 35 million sterling pounds in money) her son in law had the concession for most of the imported new cars like VW merc etc. And he was forced to bail out too and has lost everything, all stock vanished.

Frightening times, conflicts starting in Egypt now.

Oh did I say the yellow 599 was been driven along the road on the end of some forks on a tractor about 15 feet in the air, bouncing along, as you do. ! Criminal ( don't tell anyone in the 599 section though)

Here's a Google Chrome translation - kinda dicey, but if you read between the lines....

"Tunisian jasmine revolution meant not only political change but also to destroy the two Ferraris, which has been included former President Zine Abidin Bin Ali, who ruled the country the past 27 years due to protests and was forced to flee the country. The enraged mob demolished the presidential palace and its ravages missed or garage. Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano loaded on a transporter and taken it. Ferrari California očesaly from virtually all the components that went easily dismantled. Three video connections offer a very sad sight. The revolution can not collect "

No different to what happened in Manilla after the Marcos house was taken and they saw all those shoes. Not sure if the country is any better of now than then, still a sh11 hole.
