My first "encounter" and ride in a Ferrari 348 was for about 1,5 years ago and i was in love after that ride.
Me and My son (10 years) went to the owner to look at his Yellow 348, and suddenly he asken me if i wanna take a ride in the car (my thought was that i just wanna look at the car) and ofcourse i answered yes, my son did wait at their house.
The driver is/was a member of this community, i still remeber this drive, can still feel it in my heart and body, i was in love with the Ferrari 348.
Suddenly on the way back he told me "You need to testdrive a 348", he parked the car on the side og
of the road ,and went out of the car and handle me the keys, (this was the first time i meet him in real person).
The owner let me drive his Yellow Ferrari back from this tour (remember that i had Never drive a Ferrari before), a tour that did take us thru on nice summer curvy roads in middle of Sweden, was like heaven.
When we come back he asked my son if he want a ride in the Ferrari, when we come back my son was also in seven heaven, after that some coffe and coca cola, Ferrari taliking with him and his wife.
After that day i bought my 348 and me and the other "owner" talked on the phone and had some coffe and so on.

And here is the Fuxxxing bad SAD thing, yesterday there was an accident with him and one passenger and the 348, and so sad he didnt survive the accident:-( ....

    My thoughts to the family

Sad ending Patrik, but it sounds like he lived well before the accident: generous, happy, and driving a 348.

My condolences to his family and friends.

    Sincerely,
    Andrew.

    Very sad indeed. RIP

Something for us to keep on mind, though. I fear our beloved cars are not the best when it comes to accident protection.

What a crying shame. Sounds like a great guy, what a needless death. What a huge loss for his wife and children... just terrible!
I (and maybe some others here) should take this as a cautionary tale: hopping into your Ferrari tends to make one feel a little like Superman putting on his cape. Unfortunately the rules of physics still apply to us all. Yes, a sport ute with their ridiculous high center of gravity will roll in a heartbeat, but this shows under the wrong circumstances even our squat little cars will so the same. Everyone try to be a little more careful out there. If this story prevents another accident, his loss will have not been in vain.

Thank you for sharing your special memories Patrik. He undoubtedly was a man who we all would have liked to have known. And a person who definitely added a great deal of class to our brotherhood. My prayers go out to him, his family and friends.

Sad to hear -- but he at least was able to pass his passion onto you and your son.
