Eleven years ago to this day, Roland Ratzenberger died at Imola after his front wing lodged itself under his front wheels, making him unable to steer or brake, resulting in a head on collision at 180mph with the concrete wall at Villeneuve Corner. The wing had become weakened over the large kerbs found at Imola the lap before and gave him very little chance to react before it failed suddenly.

It is one of the worst weekends in racing history. Rubens Barichello's near fatal crash, the fatal wrecks of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna.

    RIP
