I have never seen original Klippan bolts in any colour except for silver regardless of the type of car it was mounted too. Please do not take this as absolute but I would assume the bolt in your photo to be correct.

05702 is a Feb '73 USA Dino with it as you show; silver/clear zinc colored Klippan 8.8 bolt and washer with gloss black metal webbing attach.
A bit later than you asked, but all I have.

I suspect he means the metal tab, which is black and is held by the silver bolt.

If you slide the webbing to one side do you see any evidence of the metal tab having been painted after the webbing was attached?

If not I think it must have been painted before the webbing was attached, therefore original.

    yes, that`s what I think....
it would be great if 1971/72 US-model 246 GT owner can have a look at their safety belts...
    for confirmation...
it looks really odd, but maybe it`s original...

LHS: Feb '73 USA; gloss black web mounting tab, silver/clear Zinc Klippan bolt
RHS: Oct '72 Euro; unpainted eb mounting tab, yellow Zinc/cad Klippan bolt

Note that the mounting tab seems to be a different shape between Euro and USA

The black coating on the ones I've seen appears to be more like a plastic coating than a paint. It has a thickness to it.

Is it just optical illusion, or is the bolt head larger on the US fitting? Is the thread the same?

I misunderstood the original question and would say that I have seen the mounting tabs in both painted metal as well as plated. I would think that either one is correct and I cannot offer any information as to which would be correct for what series, etc.

looks like at least 1972/73 US-models had black mounting tabs ....
most of the European markets never had black ones, maybe Switzerland/Sweden had?!

Focal distance with a shakey hand while trying to hold the US belt then use camera with the other one handed.
