There is an area where the leather headliner in my FF is coming away and starting to sag.

The leather headlining must be quite heavy and I worry that just re-gluing it back onto the existing foam will just lead to another issue shortly.

I wondered if the leather should be glued directly to the roof instead?

    Any experiences?

Yes, I had the headliner over the driver's side sag (2015 FF with glass roof). I had mine repaired by a professional. It's not as simple as just glueing it. It was a couple years ago and I can't remember exactly what he told me, but it was a little involved with the padding. He only charged $600 so it was well worth it to have it done by someone who knows what he's doing.:D
